Jark Prongo - "Movin Thru' Your System" (Dave Clarke remix) X-313 - "Interferon" (Dave Clarke remix) Laurent Garnier - "Greed" (Dave Clarke remix)
Likwid Biskit. Likwid Biskit's Kaidi Tatham and IG Culture show love to one of their all time musical influences Herbie Hancock. The Likwid Biskit crew freak this tune to extreme outer limit proportions with Kaidi's Moog and Synth wizardry enough to dissolve the strongest metals and I.G's sledge hammer beats ready to shake any carburetta loose. On the B-side we are blessed with the presence of bass legend Pino Palladino (D'Angelo, Roy Hargrove, Rolling Stones, The Who and many more...) who flexes his bass bicep in fine style.
Marcin's Re-Edited Video Game, featuring remixes from Steve Glencross, Gameboy and Joseph Garber.
Ben Sims has carefully crafted a unique sound for Ingoma over the last few years with tracks having a distinctly tribal feel as well as being rich in funk and melody. Paul Mac has been a large contributor to Ingoma over then years with many high quality tracks. This sampler is one of the tracks from the forthcoming Paul Mac album to be released in February 2006 and is a great example of how his sound has imrpoved and matured incredibly over the last 18 months. This single is a rich Detroit ifluenced melodic killer with a saturation of strings and stabs as well as a killer funky bass line. On the flip there are 2 Dark Science remixes which are both stripped down - one being more minimal and one more acidic... This is a great package
Techno classic from Plastickman
Originally produced in 92/93, these lost gems are finally issued on the marvellous Minus. Three tracks of genius, vintage Plastikman.
Following the success of the masterfully selected series of 4 volumes - ?Over The Counter Culture? - this one off special features four remixes of the 80's pop classic ?Fame' and was inspired by the much sought after 'Wee killed him EP' by The wee djs , released in 1999 on SCSI AV , which featured it's very own Fame remix. This latest EP is made up of remixes by Silicon Scally (Carl Finlow) , Bass Kittens , Volum and a new updated mix by The wee djs. These four interpretations bring deep nasty basslines and beats to smash dance floors worldwide and show Fame at its darkest. With the A side ranging from Silicon Scally's stylistic sound, which brings a determined and involving electro mix, to The wee djs broken, dark melodic bass filled second version of this classic track. The B side continues the theme with Volum's own solid, floor driven, twisted and glitchy take and finally Bass Kittens brings his cheeky 808 San Francisco breaks sound smashing in to end this EP with a bang.
Technasia - Motion, Funky 303 acid basslines and melodic synth stabs fused with a driving tech house sound.
After numerous singles on labels such as Penalty, Scsi-AV and Gassoline, it?s now time for the wee djs to bring their unique take on electro to the welcoming arms of Input - Output inc. The Scotsman Dave Paton also works under the aliases of NO and Being and has previously collaborated with artists such as Steve Glencross (on Sativae 020) and Two Lone Swordsmen (on the much sought after Special Emissions 010). This six track mini-lp is a collection of wee djs tunes on a harder and more dancefloor orientated tip, but you still get that special sound and feeling of the wee! This is UK electro at its best, from one of the most prolific and inventive producers around...
