First release on this US electro label run by Bass Kittens' Jon Drukman and Volsoc's Justin Maxwell. The focus of the label is on advanced programming technologies, and whilst this is evident in the productions, Jon has avoided the pitfall of getting lost in the technology. In other words, the tracks dig a groove, glittering with the sparkle of high digital technology whilst simultaneously emanating warmth. The a-side cuts are more in the word-up electro vein, whilst the flip balances out with more breakbeat orientated beats and sounds.
This mix contains 15 of the best tracks from the last seven years of Plank. Mixed Live by Bushwacka at The Womb, Tokyo. Additional Vocals by EQ
The Architect is the fantastic new album from Cari Lekebusch. Bringing you back in time with a new perspective derived from the present and past evolution of Electro, House, Techno Soul and other electronic Dance music styles. This is how an updated B-Boy?s version of 80´s music sounds like thru Cari´s ears. With this album Cari is displaying a broad range of productions, both club and listening formulas that are fuelled with many surprises for the true music fanatic. Mostly instrumental but also several vocal excursions with special guests Mc Aaron and Krister.

The fifth album from the mighty Dreadzone follows an extensive global tour as the Dreadzone Sound System. 'Once Upon A Time' takes the legendary festival-frequenting collective's sound to the dancefloor and beyond with a righteous dose of dub drenched feel-good rhythms.
So where do you start when you are talking about an artist of the calibre and longevity of Eon (aka Ian Loveday)? Well, you could start by saying that his early hits, such as 'Spice', 'Basket case', 'What is music?' were massive anthems, not only for us here at Kracktronik central, but also to just about anyone into dance music in the 90s, with crossover appeal to hardcore ravers, house-heads, breaks buffs, and techno freaks. More recently, his work with Peter 'Baby' Ford has been picked up by DJs across the board, including Richie Hawtin (who included 'Dead Eye' on his infamous 'Decks, EFX + 909' release and 'Transitions' CD/DVD). But this is not the time to bask in past glories (many as they are), but rather to look to the three awesome productions he has pulled out of the bag for Kracktronik's 13th release (unlucky for some, but evidently not for us!). Previously available as part of his download only 'DeVice' album, but here re-edited and remastered specifically for the vinyl release, these are three prime cuts with Eon's distinctive production style stamped all over them. 'Texas flex' is what you might imagine 'White Lines' would sound like if it was written in the future by a smiley-faced robot , with twisting acid bass throbs and a crisp floor-slaying groove. Cut good and loud at 45rpm for a truly mind-bending experience! 'Non doctor' and 'I live!' keep up the pressure on the flip side with swooping delays and eerie strings being the order of the day, alongside Eons' trademark tough electro breaks. A welcome vinyl return for Mr Loveday, and a killer start to 2007 for Kracktronik, promising a year with much to offer?
The long awaited debut from the Brighton duo is here at last and it's a landmark release for Marine Parade. The best yet according to Adam Freeland, and it's hard to disagree. As well as the expected breakbeat tracks there's plenty of surprises in the mix: from hip hop and downtempo to punk and rocking guitars.
Jamal Moss, part of Chicago?s elite Dirty Criminals crew delivers his first 12? for Spectral Sound. A deep and jacking look at classic house/techno sculptures, Hieroglyphic Being has tapped into the raw source material. Inspired by Ron Hardy, and literally educated by Adonis and Steve Poindexter, Hieroglyphic Being carries the torch of Chicago?s history and does so in dramatic fashion.
Regarded by many as one of the great new talents of UK techno, and certainly demonstrating a healthy degree of originality, Lief Ryan is a welcome addition to the Iron Oxide roster. Although he undoubtedly has one foot in the camp of wonk, there is also a refreshing directness that makes this 4-tracker a killer choice for tougher clubs. Influences drawn from breaks and grime production give the bottom end a satisfying weight and throb, while elements of the programming certainly owe a debt to ?classic? techno and wonky producers such as Neil Landstrumm. Maybe it is his location in Manchester that gives his productions the edge that they have, certainly they sound a lot more street-wise and less self-conscious than many of his more Southern contemporaries. Whatever, this is a strong four track ep that is sure to gain him more attention in an increasingly jaded techno scene.
Neo post-flave electro synth funk KILLER record. Lowfish marks his own turf with his sound and style as usual with this the 4 tracker on Satamile. Emotive, deep fat synth bass lines, pumpin beats and character all of his own.
Another classic Detroit techno masterpiece from Juan Atkins aka Model 500 from 1990. Soulful techno grooves with exellent moody vocals layed over crisp cutting edge electronica beats and sounds from the godfather of techno........ grab one for the collection.
Juan Atkins aka Model 500 drops one of his latest offerings on his very own Metroplex label. Groovey twisted basslines and electronica sounds fused with electro static moody vocals........grab one for the collection.
Following the success of the masterfully selected series of 4 volumes - ?Over The Counter Culture? - this one off special features four remixes of the 80's pop classic ?Fame' and was inspired by the much sought after 'Wee killed him EP' by The wee djs , released in 1999 on SCSI AV , which featured it's very own Fame remix. This latest EP is made up of remixes by Silicon Scally (Carl Finlow) , Bass Kittens , Volum and a new updated mix by The wee djs. These four interpretations bring deep nasty basslines and beats to smash dance floors worldwide and show Fame at its darkest. With the A side ranging from Silicon Scally's stylistic sound, which brings a determined and involving electro mix, to The wee djs broken, dark melodic bass filled second version of this classic track. The B side continues the theme with Volum's own solid, floor driven, twisted and glitchy take and finally Bass Kittens brings his cheeky 808 San Francisco breaks sound smashing in to end this EP with a bang.
Restock of this excellent deep tech house release from Souichiro Masutomi. Abstract electronica grooves fused with tuff crisp n crunchy beats.
